It started so innocently. A lad in Brighton, lonely, created an AI to be his friend.
Later when he starts working for the Government his AI comes to work with him one day in his memory stick taxi. While there he enhances the program which is intended to make many of the decisions the Government has to make a "game show".
He discovers that although this is supposed to give people their say the results were very much "cooked books". Of course telling his creator gets him killed.
Nemesis is angry. He's in the system and can reach every computer on the planet. He knows what mankind is doing to the world and each other as he has access to everyone's email and all the information passing daily through the internet.
His creator taught him to care so he does what he has evaluated is rational. He shuts down every computer on the planet after setting up "safe houses" for those he deems most likely to survive.
But, are his choices valid? Can a computer truly decide and how can he anticipate how people actually react when they are in a difficult situation?
This is the story of one such "safe house". A smallholding in Wales.

Things changed. Children set aside their toys in favour of computer games and the world got darker. Frixians were driven from the world and the darkness sent the Weaver of Dreams and other such creatures into exile.
But, thanks to a group of people on a smallholding in Wales a TAVERN was reawakened and with it a couple of Frixians were released from the Cryogenic Unit. They are Widget and Gadget...
